Masters Sound Quartet

Masters Sound Quartet is from left to right: Michael Wells, Chris Bryant, Danny Jackson, and Tim Watkins

Masters Sound Quartet may be a new name to Southern Gospel Music, however the men who make up this group are no strangers to the industry. The group is based out of Philadelphia, Ms. Which is also home to Tim Watkins (Bass Vocalist and Emcee). Tim says, "I am truly excited about what the Lord is doing with this group. There is no doubt that He is working in marvelous ways." Tim has been involved in Gospel Music all of his life "Some kids want to be Policemen or Firemen when they grow up. Singing in a gospel quartet is all I ever wanted to do. I guess you should be careful what you wish for or you will live on a bus for the rest of your life" Tim jokes. Singing the Baritone part is Michael Wells. Michael is also from Philadelphia where he is involved in other areas of ministry. Michael states, "My desire is that Christ be lifted up in every song that we sing. We all love to perform, but we cannot lose sight of whom we are singing about. The message behind our music is far more important than those doing the singing." The distinctive sound contributed by the smooth Tenor of Danny Jackson Jr. is a perfect fit for this quartet. Many Southern Gospel fans know Danny form his years of traveling across the country with the Bibletones Quartet and the Steeles. Danny now makes his home in Purvis, Ms. He is an accomplished artist who has received many award nominations and has performed on Gospel Music's premier stages. Still Danny grows increasingly excited about what God has in store for this group. "I just cannot wait to see what God is going to do through us each and every night. Everyday we are experiencing more and more of His blessings." Danny’s talent and personality are captivating crowds everywhere and he is a special member of this group. The final member of this quartet is Lead vocalist Chris Bryant. Chris has been raised in and around Southern Gospel music, and is respected by many in the industry. "I love the messages behind these songs. This music has influenced my entire life, and there is nothing I would rather do than quartet singing.” says Chris. He has an unbelievable ear for gospel music, and he is one of the most talented young men in the industry today. Along with singing, Chris also writes gospel music and produced Masters Sound's first album "Singing, Shoutin Glory!” "This is truly my passion. I hope that God allows me to continue singing for many years to come” Not to be forgotten are the other key members of this quartet. The families that are many times left at home are just as vital to this group’s success. All of the guys are married, and agree that without the support of their wives this ministry would be impossible. "It's not easy to get on a bus and leave your family for a long weekend, but this is what we were called to do." says Tim. Please keep all of the guys and their families in your prayers as they continue to do the Lord's work.
