Masters Sound Quartet may be a new name to Southern Gospel Music, however the men who make up this group are no strangers to the industry. The group is based out of Philadelphia, Ms. Which is also home to Tim Watkins (Bass Vocalist and Emcee). Tim says, "I am truly excited about what the Lord is doing with this group. There is no doubt that He is working in marvelous ways." Tim has been involved in Gospel Music all of his life "Some kids want to be Policemen or Firemen when they grow up. Singing in a gospel quartet is all I ever wanted to do. I guess you should be careful what you wish for or you will live on a bus for the rest of your life" Tim jokes. Singing the Baritone part is Michael Wells. Michael is also from Philadelphia where he is involved in other areas of ministry. Michael states, "My desire is that Christ be lifted up in every song that we sing. We all love to perform, but we cannot lose sight of whom we are singing about. The message behind our music is far more important than those doing the singing." The The families that are many times left at home are just as vital to this group’s success. All of the guys are married, and agree that without the support of their wives this ministry would be impossible. "It's not easy to get on a bus and leave your family for a long weekend, but this is what we were called to do." says Tim. Please keep all of the guys and their families in your prayers as they continue to do God' s will. At the lead position is Starkville, Ms native Brad Moreland, long time Gospel music soloist and quartet lead singer. Finally the tenor position is filled by veteran former Blackwood Brothers and Men of Music First Tenor Jonathon Thorne.
